Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
A common symptom of hormonal imbalance is weight gain. The weight may be distributed differently depending upon the predominance or deficiency of specific hormones. For instance elevated cortisol (the “stress hormone”) levels can cause weight gain in the waist and belly, low thyroid hormones, on the other hand, cause all over weight gain.
If you suspect that hormones play a role in your weight management issues, FDA regulated, bio-identical and compounded hormone therapy, often considered safer and more effective than synthetic compounds, may be part of the solution.
